JOB DESCRIPTION:
Are you a driven, self-motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed? Looking for advancement? An electronics leader in northern New Jersey is looking for an enthusiastic individual to accent our 2-3 member IT team. Candidate will address all areas of computer operations throughout our organization. This is a hands-on position including all IT support functions which may advance into a management position.

Summary: Coordinate development and production activities of computerized management information systems department by performing the following duties:
· Consult with management to analyze computer system needs for management information and functional operations, to determine scope and priorities of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.
· Install, configure and manage network routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, IPS, VPN, console servers, and other network devices.
· Ensure continued smooth operation of the network infrastructure.
· Monitor network stability and performance -- ensuring 24x7 operations and resolving service issues as they occur.
· Oversee and execute planned network maintenance, minimizing impact to services.
· Create and maintain network diagrams and documentation.
· Liaison with vendors/manufacturers for purchases, warranty fixes, technical support, and other network-related issues.

Possible advancement into additional duties:
· Recommend and develop plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget, and staffing.
· Manage the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the organization.
· Develop, implement, and monitor management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.

An ideal candidate meets the following requirements:
· Position requires a Bachelors Degree in related field.
· Minimum 5 years of experience managing a network of 80-100 users.
· Competency with administration of Windows Server & Office Applications, ODBC connections.
· Must exhibit excellent problem solving skills and be able to quickly diagnose system problems and implement solutions to restore functionality.
· Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision, with a proven ability to prioritize and multitask with exceptional attention to detail.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Knowledge of SQL, HTML and Javascript a plus.

Compensation package includes a base salary of $50k-$75k, commensurate with experience, plus 401(k) and pension, employer sponsored dental, life and disability insurance, paid holiday leave, paid personal leave, paid vacation leave, medical & prescription insurance.
